Summer Reading Program for area children/youth using books on the Amercian Revolution and the country's founding. Read stories of patriots, founding fathers, and the priciples of liberty and self-governance. Facilitated by Hale County Library. (334) 624-3409 Free for all chldren.
Celebrate on Flag Day at Greensboro Opera House with music performed by professional instrumentalists, local choirs and narrated by John Alexander. Playlist includes anthems, war ballads, hymns, military marches, folk songs, and show tunes directed by Marsha Harrow. The program features flute/piccolo, fiddle, trumpet, trombone, drums, and piano. A musical tribute to veterans of all wars! Free and open to the public. This event is co-sponsored by Greensboro Music Study Club.
